Thomas Dambo’s Giants of Mandurah, Western Australia

Internationally renowned Danish artist, Thomas Dambo has launched his first ever Australian Exhibition in Mandurah. The free outdoor exhibition celebrates and champions the protection of the Peel region’s extraordinary natural environment. The exciting project includes a game of finding and following the ‘Giants’ as you hope to discover the final ‘super-secret Giant’.

The exhibition will run until October 2025 and offers a great opportunity for a fun and engaging trip for the whole family.

Mona Foma, Tasmania

Mona Foma, Tassie’s annual music and arts festival returned this month and continues until the 4th March. The family friendly event will feature rock legends ‘Queens of the Stone Age’, a free concert in Launnie, and various immersive dance works among other exciting events. The festival promises to be wild and wacky, with plenty happening to keep everyone happy. You can even check out some amazing sights like Maria Island National Park while you’re there! So pack up the camper van and get moving.

Adelaide Fringe Festival, South Australia

Australia’s biggest arts festival is back! For a fabulous 31 nights, the event will bring unique experiences in cabaret, theatre, comedy, circus, music and much, much more to South Australia. With a combination of free events, kids shows including Cinderella, and live music, there is something for everyone at the Adelaide Fringe. Attending the Fringe festival is a great opportunity to discover more of South Australia’s diverse and beautiful landscape. Stop off at Kangaroo Island, Barossa Valley, the Flinders Ranges or any number of amazing sites and make a full road trip out of it!

Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix, Victoria

The Australian Grand Prix returns to Albert Park next month, 22nd-24th March and promises to be a spectacular event! Featuring fan favourite drivers such as Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen, this exciting experience really is must-see. While you’re in the area, you could explore the Great Ocean Road or even plan a trip to Yarra Valley! Australia’s biggest country music festival is on it’s way to Willowbank next month. The annual 3-day event, taking place over 15th-17th March will feature on-site camping, glamping and over 28 international and Australian artists performing! Willowbank is surrounded by some great national parks, hiking trails and caravan parks. It’s a great opportunity to take some time to explore Mount Nebo, or choose from the beautiful Lockyer, Main Range or Mount Barney National Parks to visit!

Australian Rowing Championships, New South Wales

The Australian Rowing Championships is Australia’s premier rowing event. Taking place in Sydney from 18th-24th March, the event will feature the Australian Open Rowing Championships, Schools Rowing Championship and the prestigious King’s and Queen’s Cups Regatta. Rowing hopefuls for the Paris 2024 Olympic Trials will also be present! The event will include exhibitors, food vendors and plenty of activities.
