Unique attractions in WA

The Pink Lakes

Now this one can’t come as a surprise. Western Australia’s pink lakes are a natural phenomenon completely unique to the west coast.

You truly won’t see anything like it anywhere else in the world- so make sure not to miss it when the opportunity arises.

Gnomesville

This is a particularly strange addition to our list. Gnomesville is located a 2 hour drive from Perth- and the title is self explanatory.

It is a miniature city completely filled with garden gnomes- and is wildly popular with the locals.

Penguin Island

Who doesn’t want to be surrounded by cute lil old penguins?

Well, you can! An island home to over 250 miniature penguins lay 250 ha offshore from Perth- adding to the weird and whacky list of unique attractions in WA.

Hamelin Pool

Take a step back to about 3.5 billion years ago and see the wonders of the Hamelin pools.

Filled with living fossils, the pools are home to some of the oldest stromatolites on our planet- the key to our entire evolutionary makeup.

Some say it’s truly like stepping back in time.

The Big Prawn

Australia has a strange obsession with large inanimate objects, and WA is no exception. The Big Prawn is a family favourite, located just off the Exmouth shoreline.
