Released in February 2011, the report drew from over 60 research studies in the field of Outdoor Education which were undertaken by leading academics at Liverpool John Moores University.

The report shows the following significant findings:

• Over 90% of campers said that camping is fun for all the family.
• 69% of campers agreed that they feel close to their children on an average day.
• 95% surveyed said camping recharges your batteries.
• 78% say it makes you fitter.
• 89% say it relieves stress.
• 84% say it improves mental health.

Caravan, RV and Accommodation Industry of Australia (CRVA) Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Lamont agrees with these facts and said that camping and caravanning does not just provide enjoyment and happiness but also health benefits for the entire family.
