Rest Assured with the T-QUAL Tick

Category: News, Date: 4 August 2012

The distinctive accreditation ‘tick’ and TQUAL ‘tick’ logo are displayed by caravan holiday parks that have a proven commitment to the highest quality of service.

Accreditation aims to assist every caravan holiday park to improve the way it operates, thus, providing you with an assurance that they are committed to quality business practices and professionalism in all aspects of the their operation.

The Government is now providing T-QUAL Grants to a number of tourism quality products and services to help stimulate growth in the Australian tourism industry by funding innovative, sustainable, high quality tourism projects that also contribute directly to the long-term economic development in the local region.

Federal Minister of Tourism, the Hon. Martin Ferguson AM MP, recently visited an accredited park –  BIG4 Cairns Crystal Cascades Holiday Park on Wednesday 1 August 2012  to officially launch the park’s brand new eco friendly villas.

BIG4 Cairns Crystal Cascades was awarded a $110,000 Tourism Quality Project (TQUAL) Grant to go towards building one of the new eco friendly villas, which are solar equipped, air-conditioned, fully self-contained two bedroom units.

To support the T-QUAL project, Tourism Australia launched the T-QUAL Tick Tour last March, with renowned Chef and co-owner of a T-QUAL endorsed business, Matt Moran as its main ambassador.

Matt Moran has just returned from Queensland where he experienced and promoted an array of quality assured tourism products on the final leg of the T-QUAL Tick Tour, which included Brisbane Holiday Village. While at the caravan holiday park, Matt enjoyed a stay in one of their Vogue cabins and enjoyed the various 5 star facilities that Brisbane Holiday Village had to offer.

“The T-QUAL Tick Tour has been an incredible journey, proving Australia is home to plenty quality tourism experiences. There’s something for every budget in every state and territory, and now they’re even easier to find – all you have to do is look for the T-QUAL Tick,” said Moran.

  • Midland Caravan Park (WA) which received $110,000 towards the installation of ensuite bathrooms and a shared kitchen at the park.
  • Fraser Coast Tourist Park (Qld) which received $59,932.45 for the construction of infrastructure including swimming pool and slide for children, shade structure, landscaping and the installation of a covered children’s playground.
