Nothing beats a great day on the water — except perhaps landing the catch of a lifetime! We asked our caravanning and camping community to share their proudest fishing moments, and wow… did you all deliver!

Here are just some of the biggest and best catches from across Australia — from first-time barra to absolute monster GTs. These legends have made memories that will last a lifetime.

Brett P. – 127cm Barramundi, Victoria River, NT

A monster catch in the Top End! Brett hooked this massive barra in the Victoria River and proudly showed off his 127cm beauty. What a way to represent NT fishing at its finest.

Amanda F. – 25kg GT, Exmouth WA

Armed with just a handline, Amanda hauled in a 25kg Giant Trevally off the coast of Exmouth. Serious strength, serious bragging rights.

Jenny R. – 14.58kg Golden Trevally, Inskip QLD

Jenny’s son reeled in this whopper off the beach at Inskip – a golden trevally tipping the scales at 14.58kg. Talk about a proud mum moment!

Clifford M. – Cobia, Gold Coast QLD

Clifford landed a Cobia so big the scale maxed out at 50kg – and the fish kept going! Estimated between 50–60kg, this beast was caught somewhere off the Gold Coast.

Peter T. – Jewfish, Port Roper NT

Peter hooked an impressive jewfish out of Port Roper in the Northern Territory — a top fishing destination known for producing big, beautiful catches. From the look of that photo, this was one seriously solid fish and a trip to remember!

Adsy J. – First-ever Barra

Adsy shared the thrill of his first-ever barramundi catch – a core memory locked in with a smile and a snap.

Carolyn E. – Mighty Murray River

Who says you need a boat? Carolyn caught a ripper while kayaking on the Mighty Murray River – now that’s multi-tasking.

Harvey There Yet? – Teen Fishing Legend

Their 14-year-old son is currently fishing his way around Australia and landed a massive chinaman fish. A teenage adventure to remember forever.

Kellie H. – PB Flathead at Old Bar, NSW

69cm of flathead glory – Kellie reeled in her personal best in Old Bar, NSW. That’s one for the record books!

Tim F. – Bream Bonanza

Tim bagged out on 35cm bream – then accidentally pulled in a Jewfish on the tiniest hook ever. Sometimes luck’s just on your side!

Joel P. – 101cm Coral Trout, Sykes Reef

Joel’s 2023 catch is one to remember – a 101cm coral trout landed at Sykes Reef. What a fish!

Adrian H. – 90cm, Northern Rivers of NSW

Adrian pulled in this beast from the northern rivers of NSW — measuring a whopping 90cm. A catch like that would make any angler proud!

Amanda D. – First Fish at 3 Years Old

A moment to treasure — Amanda shared her grandson’s very first catch at just 3 years old. Proof that you’re never too young to start loving life by the water.

Brett R. – First Barra, 110cm

What a way to kick off your barra fishing journey! Brett landed his first-ever barramundi at 110cm – and yes, we’re all a little bit jealous.

Colin A. – 2kg Cod, Dongara WA

Over in Western Australia, Colin reeled in a solid 2kg cod from the waters of Dongara. A great catch and even better when shared on the road.

Scott M. – 95cm Flathead, Pittwater

Scott hooked a monster 95cm flathead while fishing in Pittwater, NSW. That’s one for the record books and definitely one for the brag wall!
