Category: News, Date: 4 December 2014

Three lucky families chosen as Ambassadors for Dometic’s Follow the Sun trip have begun their journeys through Australia, their Dometic-Waeco out-fitted vehicles in tow.

Held at the Brisbane Holiday Village, the kick-off party included a jumping castle, an ambassador cook-off, and plenty of food and drinks to get in the Happy Hour spirit!

Queenslander, Kellie Stephenson, 33, and her husband Corey, also 33, will be taking this trip of a lifetime with their little boy, five-year old Zac. Kellie and her family will be exploring Victoria, South Australia and New South Wales!

Retired nurse, Denise Parks and her husband, Terry from the Sunshine Coast, will be taking in the wonderful sights of New South Wales.

And finally, the third lucky winner, east Ballina family, Michelle Lucas, her husband, Michael and two of her three daughters, Samantha, Linda and Julia, will enjoy a family jaunt across Queensland. The total prize value for each winner is up to $35,000.

Dometic Australia’s General Manager After Market Sales, Paul Montaut said he was looking forward to seeing what the three winning couples would experience.

“This major prize will give the three winners the opportunity to travel around this fantastic country and take in the very best of Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia for nearly twelve weeks on an all expenses-paid trip”.

All three winners will be touring the country, connecting with residents and tourists at local caravan parks along the way and hosting ‘Follow the Sun – Happy Hours’ to show off their Dometic appliances to fellow travellers. Ambassador for the campaign, Olympian and Discover Downunder host, Brooke Hanson, will also be dropping in at some of the happy hours along the way to mingle with fellow campers.

As well as the ‘Happy Hours’, the Ambassadors will be updating followers of their travels with continual commentary and images so campers can see their great adventure unfold.
