IFISH celebrates the 150th anniversary of the introduction of brown trout to Australia in a special one-hour episode.
Filmed where it all began in Tasmania, Paul Worsteling recounts the tale of how the first brown trout were transported from England under serendipitous circumstances in 1864, creating what is now a booming trout fishery in Tasmania and Australia.
Along the way, Paul enjoys fishing for brown trout in some of the state’s best rivers and lakes, enjoying the spoils of a remarkable project undertaken 150 years ago.
IFISH – 150 Years of Trout – airs on Channel Ten on Saturday 16th August at 3pm.
