What started as a simple caravan and camping holiday has come to an exciting close for the Heaslip family — wrapping up their Road to a Million journey at Ingenia Holidays Kinka Beach.
After being named the campaign’s primary winners, the Yeppoon family travelled to Kinka Beach for the Million Dollar Draw. At the draw, the family chose four chances at $250,000 rather than a single chance at $1 million, with each family member selecting a number.
Together, they selected 23, 87, 148 and 212, giving them four shots at the prize.
Surrounded by family and friends, they waited for the winning number to be revealed.

The winning number, 248, was revealed from a sealed envelope, with the family’s choice of 148 just one digit off.
While the top prize wasn’t claimed, the family didn’t go home empty-handed. The family still received a $5,000 prize, to go towards their dream backyard pool or a future family camping trip.
“We’re still just really grateful,” Monica said. “It’s been such a great experience from start to finish.”
For the Heaslips, the campaign was never just about the final result.
Their winning entry came from a two-week trip through Far North Queensland — the kind of holiday they’ve built their lifestyle around. Time outdoors, exploring new places, and switching off together as a family.
While one family took centre stage, the impact of the Road to a Million campaign extended right across the country.
It’s a strong reminder of the role caravanning and camping continues to play in supporting regional tourism and local businesses.

The final draw marked the culmination of a campaign delivered in partnership with state camping associations across Queensland, New South Wales, Northern Territory, Western Australia, Tasmania and South Australia.
And most importantly, it was brought to life by the thousands of Australians who hit the road, booked trips and made the most of a summer of travel.
For the Heaslip family, this chapter may be over — but their time on the road is far from it.
Because whether it’s a major prize or a weekend away, the reason they travel remains the same: spending quality time together and making memories as a family.
