South Australia is known for its remote surf territory which offers some truly unique, epic surfing adventures. From the challenging heavy surfs of Chinamans on the Yorke Peninsula, to the consistent, accessible breaks of the Mid-North Coast, there is something for everyone!

We’ve compiled a list of the top surfing destinations in South Australia (SA), check them out!

Kangaroo Island

While many of the best surfs off Kangaroo Island will require a ferry ticket and a 4WD, we think its worth it! Here you will find breaks for all abilities, from the sheltered breaks at Stokes Bay to the rocky swells at Hanson Bay.

Vivionne Bay is another surfing jewel in Kangaroo Island’s crown and is suited to surfers of all levels. If you fancy a challenge, we recommend checking out the breaks in Gantheaume Conservation Park. Breaks like those at D’estress Bay are more suited to advanced surfers.
