There’s something pretty special about spring on the open road in WA.
With more than 12,000 wildflowers species, over 60% of which are found nowhere else on Earth, Western Australia comes alive with an incredible display of colour each year.
The wildflower season begins across the Pilbara, Goldfields and Coral Coast in July before making its way south. By September, the spectacle reaches Perth’s botanical gardens, nature reserves and national parks, before continuing through the forests and coastal heaths of the South West in October and November.
From colourful carpets across the outback to blooms among forests, rugged coastlines and national parks, there’s plenty to discover on your next road trip.
