Stansbury Caravan Park is a picturesque Park located right on the foreshore of the calm Oyster Bay. It is the perfect base to explore the beautiful Southern Yorke Peninsula and everything it has to offer. 

There is plenty to see and do at Stansbury. You can enjoy seasonal crabbing, as well as snorkelling, sailing, jet skiing, windsurfing, paddle boarding and swimming at the safe, sandy beach just footsteps from your accommodation.  

If you are a boating or fishing enthusiast, you’ll appreciate the three-lane concrete boat ramp near the jetty. 

You can also drop a line from the jetty and try your luck catching King George whiting, seasonal garfish, tommies, squid and mullet in Autumn.

Discover the Charm of the Southern Yorke Peninsula 

The Southern Yorke Peninsula Mural Trail, part of the wider Yorke Peninsula Art Trail includes water towers in Edithburgh, Stansbury, Yorketown, and in Coobowie. These towers have been painted with stunning colourful murals and vibrant coastal scenery and are a must-see spectacle in the area! 

Stansbury is also part of the Walk the Yorke trail. A 6.3km coastal walking trail from the Jetty to Pitts Cutting offers great views across Gulf St Vincent. During winter and spring, native vegetation can be seen in full bloom along the cliff top walk. The trail is suitable for walking, cycling and disabled access to our coastal reserves, with rest areas and lookout points dotted along the way.  

The Innes National Park is an easy hours drive from Stansbury Caravan Park and brings you to the stunning with untouched beaches. The area has fantastic wildlife such as emus, kangaroos and Tammar wallabies. Inneston Village is another great place to explore on the Inneston Historic Walk, with view the ruins of the Ethel shipwreck on Ethel Beach, or the Cape Spencer Lighthouse. The West Cape Lookout boasts stunning 360-degree views and is a great spot for a picnic. 

Bird watching is a popular activity along the Souther Yorke Peninsula. More than 150 species of birds can be found on Yorke Peninsula from woodland birds such as the Silvereye and Tawny Frogmouth, to resident shorebirds, black swans, the hooded plover (vulnerable) and Banded Stilt. The Coobowie Bird Hide is nestled on the southern edge of Coobowie, only a stone’s throw from Stansbury, and is home to a vast array of birdlife!
