Celebrate Spring in Tasmania with the Junction Arts Festival

Enjoy a lush Springtime celebration this September at the Junction Arts Festival in Launceston. Held from the 19th-22nd September, this Spring festival is a celebration of Tasmania Arts, Music and Performance! The event promises to be a magical experience, full of surprises and delight.  

There will be a mix of free and ticketed events throughout the festival including many family-friendly events and kids shows, as well as late-night dance parties, circus and cabaret. So, there is fun to be had for the whole family in Launceston this Spring.  

Don’t miss the captivating visual art displays, mesmerising light installations and numerous live music events. There will also be delicious Tassie cusine on offer as well as local spirits, wines and brews.

1. Start your journey in Hobart and make your way to the historic coastal village of Port Arthur. Here you can learn all about the region’s convict past. 

2. Next make your way from Port Arthur to the charming seaside village of Swansea. Enjoy a delicious seafood meal straight from Great Oyster Bay. 

3 . Continue from Swansea to the stunning Freycinet National Park. Here you can enjoy the stunning beauty of Wineglass Bay and the spectacular granite mountain range, the Hazards.  

4. Following your time exploring Freycinet National Park, make your way to the relaxed beachside town of Bicheno. Known for its great local seafood and proximity to stunning national parks such as Governor Island Marine Reserve and Diamond Island Nature Reserve, this is not a spot to miss. 

5 . Make the most of your stop in Bicheno and then continue to Launceston, where you can enjoy the delightful Junction Arts Festival!
