Another EPIC Sam Mac Road Trip – Hitting the South Coast in Style

This October, The Sam Mac Road Trip hit the NSW South Coast — bringing together three amazing families, the Channel 7 Sunrise crew, and plenty of caravan and camping fun. Joined by The Mitchell, The Burney, and The Meldrum Families, Sam Mac & the crew travelled from BIG4 Nelligen Holiday Park to Tathra Beach Eco Camp and Discovery Parks – Pambula Beach in a Let’s Go Motorhome, showcasing the best of Aussie holiday parks and the joy of life on the road.

Stop 1: BIG4 Nelligen Holiday Park

The road trip kicked off at BIG4 Nelligen, where families joined Sam and the Sunrise team for a morning of mini golf, kayaking, and classic campground fun by the river. Between breakfast BBQs, coffees, and the jumping pillow, it was the perfect start to the week-long coastal adventure.

Stop 2: Tathra Beach Eco Camp

Next stop — the stunning Tathra Beach Eco Camp, surrounded by native bushland and ocean breezes. The day began with sunrise yoga among the gum trees before the families hit the pump track for some early-morning biking. The atmosphere was electric as local musician Richard Charles took to the stage for a live rock performance, bringing the crowd to life and showing off Tathra’s vibrant community spirit.

Stop 3: Discovery Parks – Pambula Beach

The final leg took the crew to Discovery Parks Pambula Beach, where the energy was high from the first cross. Sam joined the Epic Fitness team for a lively morning workout before catching a DJ set in a bright pink stretch limo (yes, really!). The Sunrise team — and our winning families — were also treated to tastings from local favourite Longstockings Brewery, rounding out the trip with a true South Coast flavour.
