Considered by those lucky enough to experience it as one of Australia’s most beautiful and scenic drives, the Waterfall Way treats travellers to 185 kilometres of hidden gems — rainforests, river valleys and, of course, breathtaking waterfalls.
Stretching from Coffs Harbour to Armidale, this spectacular route deserves a spot on your NSW bucket list!
From end to end, the Waterfall Way covers roughly 2 hours and 30 minutes of driving — but with so many amazing stops along the way, you’ll want to spend at least a day or two exploring.
The journey takes you through five spectacular national parks, including three that are World Heritage–listed — Dorrigo National Park, New England National Park, Oxley Wild Rivers National Park— as well as the striking Cathedral Rock National Park and Guy Fawkes River National Park.
Experience epic waterfalls, magnificent gorges and misty rainforests on this unforgettable adventure.

Armidale is known for its wide, leafy streets, heritage architecture, and vibrant food scene. Art lovers will appreciate the New England Regional Art Museum, Armidale Art Gallery, and the Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Keeping Place. Food and wine enthusiasts can savour cool-climate wines and fresh local produce at one of the town’s wineries or restaurants.

Meanwhile, Coffs Harbour delivers sunshine, sand and seafood. Families will love the Big Banana Fun Park or Treetops Adventure Park, while everyone can enjoy Jetty Beach and the North Coast Regional Botanic Garden.
