After a great week in Alice we decided to pack up and head south back to Adelaide. As we knew it was a long drive, we wanted to do it in just a couple of days to save the kids a whole week in the car. Suffice to say we did it, but boredom even for adults, brings out the inner child in everyone.
After a quick over nighter along the Stuart Highway and by quick I mean it was so windy we didn’t pop the roof on the Jayco and resorted to a baby wipe bath for everyone! We were back on the road first thing in the morning.
( Please note that the car is stationary )
We arrived in Adelaide and what a pretty city, streets lined with beautiful trees and heritage buildings galore. We spent our time unwinding, we were lucky enough to be in town for the Adelaide 4×4 and Adventure show which was a good morning out, we even bumped into some of Col’s career envy icons.
I couldn’t be in Adelaide and not make the trip out to the Barossa Valley which was picturesque. Luckily for me Col’s not a wine drinker so I did all the tasting and he chauffeured the troops.
We found a beautiful winery called Pindarie which was not only stunning but awesome for kids with big hay bales to climb on, sheep to look at and a grassy lawn to run around. So I enjoyed the view, a yummy lunch and a few glasses of their finest while Col chased the kids… Bliss!
