The Real Life Classroom explorers go on camera with Robbo and Channel 10!
Today we went to the free pancake breakfast at BIG4 MacDonnell Range Holiday Park and it was delicious. There were so many different options for toppings and the pancakes were the size of my plate!
Next we went to the Alice Springs Markets and Todd Mall, where we had an Uncle Edy’s ice cream and found out more information on the Parrtjima festival, a festival in light.
After going to Woolworths, we went back to the holiday park, where we met the film crew and Robbo from Studio 10 and we started filming for the afternoon. It was very busy and we filmed at the pool and waterslide, pedal go karts, jumping pillow and star talk platform for sunset.
When we came back to the motorhome, we had nibbles with the Bradley family and then went to bed ready for the new day. Today we travelled 12.8 kilometres.
This morning it was an early start to wake up and get ready for our first ever live cross on television! I was slightly nervous but I had friendly people around me to help me feel calmer. We were at the pool when it begun and then we went to the Star Talk platform for the next live cross. After that we went to the ANZAC Hill Lookout in Alice Springs and then to the Telegraph Station to do a little bit more filming.
After the filming, we returned to BIG4 MacDonnell Range Holiday Park to go swimming at the pool and then we went to the Parrtjima festival, a festival in light. It was amazing looking at all of the colourfully lit caterpillars at the only Indigenous inspired festival in the world. There were places to eat and drink, learn more about the festival and Aboriginals themselves, as well as learning to weave baskets and mats out of grass and recycled material. Tomorrow we are going to the School of Air in Alice Springs and then we are going to the reptile park too. I am so excited.
