Here are some great camping sites across Australia to help you get into nature.
Although cooking around a campfire is fun with friends, sometimes we all just feel like spending the few extra dollars needed for someone else to prepare a meal for us. We enjoy staying at Noosa River Holiday Park because it is perfect to fulfil your dining needs. It’s only 2.5km away from Hastings Street which offers a variety of dining options.
Another camping option in Noosa includes Noosa Caravan Park in Tewantin. This park is in close proximity to the ferry which can take you to the beautiful North Shore.
Suffolk Beachfront Holiday Park provides different sized camping sites to suit different budgets. Based in Byron Bay, this campsite offers direct beach access, free BBQ facilities and is within close proximity to local pubs, shops, restaurants and cafes. We especially love having a dance at the lively Cheeky Monkeys nightlife bar!
First Sun Holiday Park is another great option with beach access as well as Reflections Holiday Park on Clarkes Beach.
Ayers Rock Campground caters for caravans, campervans, motorhomes and space to pitch your tents. There are a variety of facilities provided including a swimming pool, BBQ facilities, outdoor kitchens and laundry facilities. We highly recommend experiencing the stunning landscape of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park at least once in your lifetime!
Kings Canyon Resort and BIG4 MacDonnell Ranges Holiday Park are also great options near Alice Springs.
Cable Bay Campground is located on the doorstep to Innes National Park which is perfect for your adventuring desires. We have enjoyed fishing and kayaking in this area! Marion Bay Caravan Park is just up the road and also provides fantastic amenities.
While exploring Western Australia, we have come across plenty of camping grounds at very affordable price points. One great option for nature-lovers is Draftys Campground, located in the Karrie Forest with a camping fee of $8 per night per adult. Some of the great nature-based activities you can partake in include fishing, canoeing and bushwalking.
There is nothing more enjoyable than getting a peak of wildlife roaming around freely near your campsite! If this sounds up your alley, we strongly recommend staying at the popular Fortescue Bay camping grounds. This great location will allow you to truly get back in touch with nature. The Tasman National Park, within which the camping grounds are located, has several great attractions including the Tasman Arch, Waterfall Bay and stunning cave areas.
Another option close to Fortescue Bay includes NRMA Port Arthur Holiday Park.
Tidal River Campground is located in Wilsons Promontory National Park. We managed to save multiple trips from having to drive to the nearest shopping markets to buy essentials because this campsite provides a store which stocks your basic supermarket and emergency needs as well as gas refills. Not only can you pitch a tent in these camping grounds but if you decided you wanted a bit more luxury we highly recommend the campground’s award-winning Wilderness Retreats.
