Caravan Industry Association of Australia is pleased to present the latest in our ‘Caravan and Camping with the Stars’ video series. Throughout the series, we sit down with well-known Australians as they share some of their favourite caravan and camping memories. This episode features Ben Tullipan.

Ben and his wife Kerrie recently completed a leg on the Dometic Follow the Sun Relay with their family. Ben is Australia’s worst injured survivor of the 2002 Bali Bombings Terrorist Attacks. He lost both of his legs, most of his stomach muscles and suffered burns to his 63% of his body. Ben has been awarded a multitude of awards, including:

  • 2006 Pride of Australia Medal for Courage
  • 2008 Gold Coast Citizen of the Year
  • 2016 Queensland Father of the Year
  • Finalist in the 2016 United Nations Volunteer Awards

Ben also graced the cover of the 2010 Gold Coast White Pages as a Courageous Australian.
