Tasmania in spring blooms with colour. Highlights include the Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden, Table Cape Tulip Farm, and the Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens—home to more than 6,500 plants across 14 impressive hectares. Among the season’s festivals, the Wynyard Tulip Festival is a standout, offering free entertainment, delicious food, vibrant displays, and lively experiences in Tasmania’s north.

Spring is also a fantastic time for wildlife spotting. At Cradle Mountain, look out for wombats, Tasmanian devils, quolls, platypus and echidnas. On Maria Island, young marsupials emerge from pouches and dens, while Bennett’s wallabies, pademelons, wombats and Forester kangaroos roam the landscape.

Gourmet Getaways

From Launceston to Hobart, and Bruny Island to Huon Valley, Tasmania is a gourmet paradise of cheese, chocolate, wine, cider, oysters and more. Three foodie highlights not to miss this Spring are the Huon Valley, Bruny Island, and the Cradle to Coast Tasting Trail

In the Huon Valley, sip crisp local ciders and wines among rolling green hills and vineyards. On Bruny Island, indulge in artisanal cheeses, local honey, world-famous oysters, and sweet treats like fudge and chocolate. The Cradle to Coast Tasting Trail, stretching through Tasmania’s lush north-west, is a self-guided journey of farm gates, cellar doors and artisan producers—perfect for sampling everything from berries and seafood to whiskey and cheese.
