So why not escape the hustle and bustle this winter, and explore your own backyard here in our wonderful nation!

See all the best spots to visit this winter right around the country here:

Uluru

Escape the Northern Territory heat and explore this national treasure in complete comfort this winter.

Not only is the temperature a whole lot milder- but winter is the dry season up in the NT, so you won’t have to worry about any wet weather!

If taking a day trip to the exciting Kata Tjuta (Valley of the Winds), the climb over the gorgeous canyons will be a lot more achievable and you won’t be restrained by the time restrictions in place during the summer.

Cradle Mountain

This winter wonderland is the perfect place to visit in the colder months.

Enjoy a warm coffee by the lodge- or take a swift hike along one of the countless trails available on Cradle Mountain.

Plus- if you’re lucky, you’ll be able to hike up the mountain after an evening of snowfall!

Ningaloo Reef

Unbeknown to many, Ningaloo Reef during the wintertime is an excellent spot to check out the whale sharks!

Despite it being the winter months, the Exmouth coastline generally averages between low to high twenties during the day.

You won’t find yourself shivering and stuck inside- but you won’t be sweating profusely either!

You’ll also get to see one of the largest populations of migrating Humpback Whales, who head north every year for the breeding season.

Blue Mountains

This winter, book your holiday in NSW’s national highlight- the scenic Blue Mountains.

Not only are you treated to the regular breathtaking views, but the Blue Mountains can change into a snowy utopia in the colder months.

This regional spot is full of rustic, outdoor charm and needs to be placed on your travel bucket lists ASAP!
