Surfing is a great Australian past time.
With all the amazing beaches and fabulous warm surf surrounding us- it just makes sense.
We listed all our favourite surfing spots in Tasmania to get people out hitting the waves.
With a swell of about 1.5m, King Island is great for beginner surfers.
When the wind blows east and the tide is low-mid the surf is at it’s best.
With a super consistent swell, Green Point Beach at Marrawah is a surfing haven for Tasmanians.
If you consider yourself an expert, Green Point occasionally gets hundred meter long rides when the swell is westerly and the wind is offshore.
Winter is the best time of year to surf at Eaglehawk Neck.
Offshore winds come in from the west, and receives a combo of groundswells and windswells that create some gnarly waves.
