From Eden to Pambula

From Eden to Pambula

It’s simply stunning at Pambula Beach on the NSW Sapphire Coast. The area is about midway between Sydney and Melbourne. This makes it just a little too far for a weekend away for most. You will absolutely need more than a few days to appreciate everything on offer at Pambula and Merimbula. The region is well known for its clean, clear waterways producing the famous Sydney Rock Oysters.

The Discovery Park at Pambula Beach has a magnificent location, offering absolute beachfront sites that are protected by the dunes. The Discovery Parks we stayed at had an amazing splash zone, two pools (one heated), mini golf, two games areas, TV rooms (one adult only), trampoline park and a ‘rage cage’. The kangaroos on the park grounds pretty much sums up how laid back and chilled this region is.

Trying to get the kids to leave the park to go day tripping was a challenge. The struggle was real! Adam and I caught the sunrise over the ocean with a fresh hot brew of coffee, while the kids had a little sleep in.

We eventually made it to the village of Pambula, had pies and cakes at a bakery in Merimbula and squeezed in a video conference school lesson under the airport flight landing path (#mobilelivingmadeeasy!)

For only $20 at Wheelers Oysters on Arthur Kaine Drive, we sampled the regions oysters and prawns.

There are multiple beaches and bays to explore, ample fishing opportunities and beachside markets every second (Pambula) & third (Merimbula) Sunday of every month. This area deserves more than a few days stay.
