Caravan to a Million: Check out the Million Dollar Draw at the Sunshine Coast Expo!

The Nambour Showgrounds was buzzing with excitement on Friday as the Let’s Go Sunshine Coast Caravan and Outdoor Expo got underway! Under sunny skies, visitors were able to witness the exciting conclusion of our ‘Caravan to a Million’ Competition, where one lucky family was hoping their dreams would come true.

Katy G., her husband Scott, their two kids, were given a fantastic chance to win one million dollars. Katy was given the choice of choosing 1 number in 250, for the chance to win a million or to increase her odds for a smaller cash prize. On the day, Katy opted to choose 10 numbers out of a total 250, for the chance to win $100,000. Katy and Scott’s two kids quickly got to work, carefully selecting their 10 numbers and despite coming close, they didn’t manage to choose the winning number 118.

Katy and Co. didn’t go home empty handed however, as winners of the competition they were still awarded an amazing $10,000 prize to take home!

A Day to Remember

The Expo was more than just about the draw; it was a celebration of the caravanning lifestyle, with the latest gear, live entertainment, and activities for all ages. The event was a perfect family day out, and for Katy’s family, it ended on an incredible high.

Long-Time Campers 

For 12 years, Katy’s family has been enjoying their tent set-up while camping. They love beach camping at Stradbroke Island (Straddie) and staying at beautiful locations like Bigriggen Park Rathdowney and Noosa. 

“Beach camping is always a favourite, particularly Straddie,” Katy shared. “The kids love getting away on a camping holiday, enjoying the outdoors, toasting marshmallows by the fire, and spending time with family and friends.”  

This October, they plan to hire a caravan for a trip to Borumba Deer Park. It’s a chance to test their towing and setup skills before buying their own caravan. 

Looking Ahead

With their prize in hand, Katy and her family are now planning new adventures across Australia. “We can’t wait to explore more of this beautiful country with our dream caravan,” Katy shared, beaming with excitement.
